Have the same problem. The card is not functioning. When inserted I don't get the two bieps that shows Vista sees the card and should start the driver installation. My friend bought the same laptop and I borrowed his TV Tuner card. Put it in my laptop and it worked from the first time.

I got the two bieps and Vista installed the driver. Windows media center sees the card and I could see TV programs. Conclusion: the tv tuner card that came with my PC is bad.

If Windows Vista is in Service Pack 1 and does not have all the upgrades yet, a driver is required.
