What if you don't run the setup exe, but install the Vista driver manually for the device? Go to Device Manager, select your Bluetooth device, right click, Properties, Driver, Update, and you specify the folder where you extracted the FZ3_Bluetooth_Driver.zip file. If it appears as 'Unknown device', it can be identified by a device id string from the Right click-Properties-Details page, something like this: PCI VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_27018086&REV_05 You go to and write 8086 to Vendor Search, and 4220 to Device Search. If it doesn't work, then remove the device from Device Manager, restart, and then install it. If it installs automatically, but not OK, then remove, restart into safe mode, install. The webcam is still not working. It might be too basic to be upgraded? If you have any good advice.
Thank you for all your messages. I'm glad you're getting there this way or another. For the webcam, I can recommend the same procedure that I described above. Or, alternatively, you can find out the exact type of the camera, and go directly to its maker's website.
I can't see any product specification or review which describes this, but the Vista driver's directory is named 'Camera Driver Ricoh 6.211G_6.1006.211.0_logo'. So, Ricoh, it is. We need more details. Information is power!
Still with me? Land rover chassis numbers. Just another idea, but this is just guesswork. What about looking around in similar Vaio products, which have native Windows 7 support, and finding out if they have the same camera (and driver published.).
But there must be an easier way than this. I'm glad you're getting there this way or another.
